Dominate, Defile, & Devour the heroes of Mythalon in this Adult RPG.
Current State:
Version 1 is currently a proof of concept build and is largely lacking content and polish. There is no music, few sound effects, the sex animations are placeholders waiting to be expanded. Be aware that this first version of the game is more a representation of what the game could become than an actual game in itself. However it is still playable and fairly performant.

Welcome to Dread Lord Defiler! Before you begin your reign of terror there are a few things you should know…
This game is currently in development. Features and content may be missing or incomplete. Save data may be deleted upon updating the game to the latest version.
You can look around using the Mouse.
You can move around using the WASD keys.
You can jump by pressing the Space Bar.
You can sprint by holding the Left Shift key.
You can exit the game by pressing the Escape key.
Left Mouse Button is your primary action key and Right Mouse Button is your secondary action key.
Dread Lord Defiler uses a glance based context control system that modifies the primary and secondary action based on the current context of what you’re doing and what you’re looking at.
Combat:
To attack aim at an enemy who is within combat range and press the Left Mouse Button.
Combat has sticky targeting which activates when you're close enough to an enemy to attack. You automatically target the enemy you are looking at that's within combat range.
You can target specific limbs by looking at them: Head, Left Leg, Right Leg, Right Arm, Left Arm, and Torso. Currently there is no benefit to targeting specific limbs other than choosing which ones you would like to dismember.
You can block by holding the Right Mouse Button. If you press block during an enemies attack you will perform a counter attack.
Defilement:
In order to defile an Elven Maiden you must first defeat one in combat. Once she has been incapacitated you can pick her up by pressing the E key. After which you must bring her to the Altar located inside the Lair (Starting area). The Altar is directly opposite the entrance. (See video for clarification). Once there you can press E to defile her.
Defilement is a glance based cinematic interaction which can be controlled by looking at various points of interesting and selecting them by pressing the Left Mouse Button. A brief description of each action will appear in text on the screen.

HUD: Moved enemy name to top of HUD from center.

Defilement: Panties and bra can now be removed during any stage of defilement.
Defilement: Adjusted display names with less technical titles.

Defilement: Fixed an issue where grappled maiden would float behind defilement pawn after defilement started.

Update - V4
Summary:
Started creation of the domination mini-games. Domination mini-games will include things such as flogging, spanking, and other forms of sexual torture. First mini-game is the flogging mini-game which is currently under development. The mini-game is in place but all you can do is move around the camera. Press escape to exit the mini-game.

Domination: Added base of domination system. Placed in first domination point – flogging mini-game. Player can enter mini-game but only move around the camera nothing else.
General: Added some floating text to the lair describing various rooms.
Update - V5
Mostly backend work today setting up core systems for easier editing in the future.

Interaction System: Created base for interaction system to replace existing defilement and domination system.
Interaction System: Added Sharpening Stone interaction without functionality to confirm system was working as intended.
Lair: Blocked out ritual chamber and added second story to left hand side of altar.
Events: Created event bus subsystem to manage data transfer between different elements of the level.
Domination: Added timed target widgets to the domination mini-game. Still not in development.

Setup some more base poses for the altar defilement to give a better idea of how the animations switching will work. Onboarded new team member to work on the sound.

Update - V7
Worked on the backend systems and connected the leveling and xp system up. Instead of XP you earn dominance and have a dominance level. Dominance and dominance level is displayed at the bottom of the HUD.
Dominance/Leveling: Integrated dominance system into the game and setup saving and loading. Players can now gain dominance from killing enemies and defiling maidens. Dominance will automatically save when the game is closed.
Update - V8
Finished onboarding the new sound guy today and got him setup with the project. Setup 3D audio capture and setup the basic menu which you can now load the game from.
Sound: Added realistic audio capture. Now sounds will play based on position and direction of the character and the camera. IE: sounds that are to the players right will play through the right speaker and vice versa.
Sound: Added torch SFX to lair front entrance.
UI: Added main menu to the game. You can now start a new game with your dominance level reset to zero or continue your previous game. Dominance level is saved whenever you exit the game.
Update - V9
Sorry for the delayed update. I completely overhauled the original defilement system and replaced it with a new system that operates off of a free form camera so you can now choose your preferred camera angle during defilement. Otherwise the system operates that same as before.

Created SINS to replace defilement, domination, and other interaction nodes.
System operates using the same glance based control system but with a free form camera allowing the player to position the camera anywhere in the scene.
Animation:
Removed place holder animations and added more finalized animations.
Added basic facial animations to all sex animations for added realism.
Sound:
Added new sex sounds to defilement.
Added footstep sounds to defiler.
Added various ambient sounds to lair.
UI
Added key binding info to top left of screen.
Removed unnecessary components.

Fixed an issue where the block prompt widget would stay visible after death.
Fixed an issue where the game would crash during defilement.
Update - V10
Added an additional animation to defilement called Elf Breaker. Additional sound effects where added along with some performance improvements using level streaming to load an unload assets. This should improve overall performance.

Update - V11
This week I was mostly working on adjusting the lair to improve performance using level streaming. The level streaming is still in a pretty early state and will need a lot of tweaking. I also added in the first voice sample of the defiler which will pop up in the main menu when you open the game. If you run into crashes during gameplay please post a comment and let me know where the crashes happen and what you where doing when they occur. I also added a quick teleport to return to the throne room faster. The altar is located behind the throne which is now the starting location.
I'm going to be aiming for updates once a week on Fridays to ensure consistency in the updates as well as more content. If I need to post a patch to fix game breaking bugs it will most likely be deployed on Monday night.

Update - V12
This week was spent improving the combat system. The primary goal was to make the combat fun and weighty. Most of the work was on the general feel of the combat and the sounds. The starting crypt area was replaced with a new forest environment due mostly to issues related to the lighting and combat inside of tight corridors. The crypt environment will most likely be added back in once the combat flows a bit smoother in tight corridors. There were a lot of changes to the game code so it's likely there will be bugs, please report them here in the comments.

This update is the base version for our early access launch on steam. The settings menu was added as well as numerous audio additions and combat improvement along with the addition of a top down camera mode for the game.
