Description: Welcome to a futuristic dream machine, where an online hostess will lead you through a world filled with sexual fantasies. Stroll through hidden halls and underground chasms in search of surprises behind every door - scenes that focus on a host of sexual experiences and items presented for your enjoyment. After watching each fantasy, tell your guide about your innermost obsessions and desires, and it adapts to become the perfect sexual cybermate. Dream Machine is a three-dimensional interactive world created to keep you in sight. Choosing only those doors that correspond to your individual character and sexual preferences, you “direct” the program to enter the spheres of erotic imagination, customized to your imagination and personal desires. Interotica developer calls the movie "virtual sexual experience" and promises to make your dreams come true. The program uses QuickTime technology for PC and Macintosh and works in resolutions up to 1024x768. Dream Machine comes with a new True Type font created specifically for the project called "CyberSlab."

Sadly, this is *NOT* a true 1:1 image as my original disc could not be located, however I have rebuilt the image from a hard drive backup I'd made years ago of the CD's entire file structure. This means that while file dates will be correct, the folder dates will show as too "new" for a game released in the mid-1990's. If I do ever manage to find my original disc, I will upload a true image, however I felt that a rebuilt image is much better than nothing, especially considering this game actually seems to be considered quite rare.

This game was designed to be run on Windows 3.1, meaning it is unlikely to work on modern computers. However, I have tested this on Windows 3.1 in DOSBox and it works fine. If you have a Windows 3.1 install that works on DOSBox, you should be able to play this game through that (I did update Quicktime to a later version than the one included, however, if I recall). I also have no reason to believe that this game won't play on a virtual machine installation of Windows 3.1, though I've not tested that.

Note that if you're curious, all the adult videos are in hidden folders on the root of the CD, and can be viewed (in all their terrible compressed Quicktime format quality) outside the game if you "show hidden folders". Also note that - in theory - you could possibly "mod" this game by replacing any or all videos with your own favourites (or even non-adult videos) and they *should* play if named the same. Again, I've not really tested this theory, though.

The quote: "...unlike hypertext art or mainstream CD-ROM games, porn is disposable, consumed on the sly – the further back you go, the harder it is to find these products that were supposed to revolutionize the way people (or, at least, men) saw sex" is true, and explains why games like this are so rare and hard to find yet all the more fascinating (at least to me) than similar non-adult titles that ended up in bargain bins in the 2000's, and why preserving them is important.
