The Part-Timer is an adult game made with Ren'Py, with gameplay that is focused on being a dating and management sim! I started working on this game in November, so there will be many more updates to come soon for the game! The Part-Timer in the game is a woman that's looking to make a little extra cash on the side, and you're just an a bored employee of a faceless business that couldn't really say no. Manage the Part-Timer's stats by having her perform different duties around the store, and soon you will be able to ask for personal requests!
Characters:
• Emily’s chibi has been overhauled! The body has been changed and improved, including changes to her hair and outfit.
• Bailey’s chibi has been overhauled too! Receiving the same body updates as Emily, including changes to her outfits.
• The chibi appearance changes will allow for outfits to be shared among the characters, and will make it easier to animate them in the future. And they just plain look better.
Sound:
• A New bell sound has been added to the store’s front door, coming into the shop and leaving have different variations.
• A New sound has been added for clicking buttons and menus, and a new sound has been added for exiting the menus.
• A new sound has been added for the transitions into the day and night, which is different according to the time of day.
• The introduction now has a unique music clip that plays when starting.
• Ambient sound has been added to the introduction.
• A new hover sound has been added for buttons across the game.
• A variety of sounds have been added for different menus in the game.
• An accomplishment sound has been added to the locker for winning the best prize.
• Night and day transition sounds were added to the front counter of the store.
• Adjusted the volumes of all sounds in the game and the music.
• Ambient sounds and music will be softer inside of menus.
Misc:
• Fixed the Valentine Outfit text in inventory not being placed correctly.
• Created a new BadSquirrelThings logo for the website.
• Changed the placement of the quick menu, moved to the left-hand side of the screen, instead of the center, where it was covered with buttons.
• Fixed and improved the appearance of the Front door inside the store. It will no longer pop into place. And, the highlight of the door was changed to fit with other objects.
• While working, bonus money will now be given to the player immediately, instead of at the end of the week.
• A bonus money prompt has been added to the game.
• The working bonuses are no longer tied to the amount of money you have, and now, Patience controls how much you can get.
• Four additional dialogue events have been added to all training options, which means that every option now has five unique interactions.
• New dialogue has been added for when Emily returns from work, and this means that there are five unique interactions for all options.
• A new display for bonus money has been added.
• Item descriptions are now highlighted while confirming purchase and when using an item in inventory.
• Store descriptions will no longer disappear when clicking inside of the menu.
• Special events can now happen when working! These will play out over several days and provide major bonuses to the player.
• An Additional twenty work outcomes have been added to the game, and the system has been changed to dissuade repeated outcomes.
• Fixed a bug with the menu, when moving from the store to the trait menu a box would stubbornly stay on the screen.
