Overview:
The story follows Paul Rutter, a university lecturer who inherits an ancient tome left behind by his parents, and with it, discovers the power of enchantment. He uses this power to different effect, resulting in hilarious, dangerous, or erotic moments. He soon learns that he is also able to build positive relations with the people he encounter, even going as far as to influence their lives.
Gameplay
This is a story-driven, point and click adventure game set in the 'Mind Control / Influence' genre. There are four primary mechanics - Eloquence, Stature and Fatigue and Enchantment.
Eloquence and Stature are your primary stats, akin to Strength and Intelligence, which can be increased via actions such as reading, meditate, or working out, etc. These are implemented for certain event checks or triggers in the story. They will be fully explored in future acts.
Fatigue is a way to make sure you stay healthy while using your powers without overexertion. Take care not to extend pass the limit, which is 10 points. Upon the next day, the game will end if your fatigue still persists beyond the threshold.
Enchantment is your main power. It affects character progression, allowing you to interact and build up your relationships. There will be a new dialogue unlocked at each enchantment level, with a total of 15 levels, starting at 0. You can only enchant a character once per day, and doing so will advance the time.
Note that using your enchantment powers will introduce fatigue, so be sure to plan ahead.
The actions you perform in the game can help reduce your overall fatigue. Sleeping will always guarantee 1 point in fatigue reduction before progressing to the next day.
