The protagonist, Takuma, lost his mother when he was young.
In her place, there was someone who stepped into the kitchen for him.
That someone was Fumi, his childhood friend and next-door neighbor.
She was the kind of girl who could be a little nosy at times but always had a nurturing, caring nature. For Takuma, she was a presence big enough to fill the void left by his mother’s death.
As he grew older, Takuma began to feel restless.
She was so good at cooking, so kind, so cute… If he didn’t act soon, someone else might take her away.
But there was a predator, eyeing Fumi with calculated intent.
That predator was the man who had once tried to abandon a young Takuma to his fate.
The man Takuma hated more than anyone in the world—his father, Gouki.
“You like Fumi, don’t you? She’s a good woman.”
“She’s almost as good as your mother was…”
Those words sent a chill down Takuma’s spine.
The way Gouki spoke, it was as if he were saying, “She’s exactly my type.”
Lately, something had felt off about Fumi and Gouki.
No way… No way.
“It’s not true, right, Fumi…? You wouldn’t fall for a guy like him, would you?!”
