A New Life: Close Quarters follows a young man arriving for an exchange stay in a shared house, expecting a simple new beginning away from his usual life. Instead, he finds himself living under the same roof as several women with very different personalities, routines, boundaries, and secrets.
As the days pass, the player explores the house and nearby city locations, helping the girls with small requests, building bond, unlocking private moments, and discovering casual events that can happen during daily navigation. Time advances through conversations, quests, and actions, with each day limiting how much the player can do before needing to sleep.
