Aoyama Yoshito is a university student in the folklore studies faculty. When chasing after his faculty lecturer, he ends up lost on a mountain far from civilization and stumbles upon a Western-style mansion owned by the immensely wealthy Mikado clan, a family of old nobility.

Yoshito is permitted to stay as a guest but is forced to participate in the "Eigu rite" — a ceremony to determine the next head of the Mikado clan. Surrounded by the three beautiful but mysterious Mikado sisters, the other rite candidates, and the mansion's enigmatic inhabitants, Yoshito finds himself entangled in a web of dark secrets, old traditions, and intermingling desires.
