Introduction
The Velan Reach is an adult Visual Novel set in a unique steampunk sci-fi setting, in which you play the role of a humble academic who, together with his lovely assistant, is invited to join a noblewoman's expedition into the unknown and rediscover the long-lost location of the cradle of humanity.
But you soon find yourself pulled into a web of intrigue as you get to know the other members of your expedition, each of whom have their own reasons for being there and motivations for interacting with you.
Visiting strange and exotic new places, you will meet a host of people (including aliens and robots) as you deal with the events that unfold during your journey. Along the way, you will get to know them better, learn about their reasons to be there, become quite intimate with some of them if you so desire, and face challenges that may force all of you to rethink your original goals and ambitions.
Assume the role of Dr. Myron Reith, scientist (name can be changed in-game, as well as the names of love interests, pet names, and other attributes, to customize your experience to your preferences).

Gameplay
The Velan Reach Book One is an adult Visual Novel with an emphasis on character driven story telling and slow-burn romantic development with the main love interest(s) of your choice, while offering ample opportunities for some fun adult diversions along the way if you so chose.
There will be multiple love interests that can be pursued at the same time, and no need to chose between them. In fact, some story lines will play off of each other, and it is recommended to pursue all love interests at the same time if you don't want to miss any of the content.
This game features no dead-ends, no sudden game-overs, an you will never find yourself locked out of a character's path because you somehow failed to pick a "right" choice or accidentally flirted with another character without realizing. Every choice that has permanent consequences for a relationship with a love interest is clearly marked, and you will never have to choose between two love interests.
The game has some additional built-in walk-through options for players who prefer having extra guardrails present, even if there are no "bad" choices by design.
Sexual content
As an adult visual novel, this game will contain various types of sexual interactions between the main character and their love interests, and possibly also between love interests among themselves if they are in a relationship with the main character. Sexual interactions will be optional whenever possible. Note that the tone of this game is sex-positive and wholesome, and there are no "dark" themes either depicted or implied.
Development
Book one of The Velan Reach will contain the story of the first leg of the epic journey to recover the location of humanity's home world. It will consist of up to six chapters. Chapter one is available upon release, chapters two through six will be released periodically as a free content for owners of the game.
Development time for each chapter will be several months, depending on content. The release of chapter 2 is expected no sooner than the second half of 2026.
