The story is set in modern-day Japan. Sakurako, the successor to the Tsuchimikado school of Onmyo jutsu, has been fighting day and night against evil monsters that harm people, alongside her childhood friend and aide, Takimaru.
One day, they receive word that a monster sealed in a certain village has been unsealed. Sakurako and the others immediately rush to the village, but are caught in a despicable trap set by the monster and a creepy otaku who is accomplice with it, and her childhood friend is taken hostage. In exchange for not making a move on her childhood friend, Takimaru, the monster offers one condition: Sakurako becomes the otaku's girlfriend.
And so, Sakurako becomes the otaku's girlfriend, and secretly begins to take action to rescue Takimaru...
...but she doesn't know. Due to a "curse of fulfilled love" that was cast on her without her realizing it, with each passing day, she gradually begins to fall deeply in love with the otaku...
