"Phew..." Chihiro sighs as she vacuums her daughter's room.
In the past, she used to vacuum the room she was in every day. Now that her daughter went to college and started living alone, it was enough for her to clean once a week. The same goes for the room of her eldest son, who left home two years ago. Chihiro leaves her daughter's room, feeling a sense of hopelessness.

"Chihiro! I got a call from my friend Seki the other day."

"From Seki?" Chihiro tilts her head slightly when she hears the name of her husband's friend Seki, who teaches at a university.

"He asked if you would be interested in attending the university as an auditor student."

"Me, going to college?"

"You know, now that the kids have left home, you have more free time, and you said you were looking for a new hobby. That's why I asked Seki about it. It's not uncommon for retirees and adults who have finished caring for their children to enter university again. How about starting out as an auditor student?"

"Guess it is time for me to move on. Auditing students~ Well, why not!"

"I see. I'll contact Seki then."

"Thank you, Hideyuki."

After their kids moved out, Hideyuki's wife would often look dejected, but now that he saw her smiling, he couldn't help but smile back.
