These is just a behind the scenes look at some of the translation decisions I made as well as some comments I
had about the writing among other things.
If you read the TL notes that came with the last Studio Pork TL I did it's a lot of the same stuff.
(If you haven't read that TL I do recommend it, patch is on my blog)

Nothing here is necessary to play the game, and there might be spoilers (if you care about that sort of thing).

Read them or not, I hope you enjoy the game. Thank you to everyone who expressed their support for a TL.

1. TL Time
Surprisingly, despite this game being longer than the previous Studio Pork entry it took me roughly
the same amount of time to translate and edit this as the last one (3-4 months). It's hard to say
why honestly. Simple plot + familiarity with the writer would be my best guess.

Don't expect that kind of speed with future VN translations though.

2. Repetitiveness
Having translated Studio Pork's last game I'm kind of used to the semi-repetitive way this author writes.
But if there's one phrase that he cannot seem to want to stop using it's "I can't control myself" (我慢できない).
This is usually in the context of protag seeing Hina-chan "existing" being sexy somehow and that being the last straw for
him to jump her bones. And in the pre-sex or even foreplay stage I get it, perfectly fine phrase. But good god it seems
like every last thing this woman does is enough for Kiichi to go wild. The author throws it in a couple times before
sex, a couple times during sex, and couple times after sex...it just never ends. We get it, you can't control yourself.
But once you've lost control once, how are you losing it again? Stop it.
Runner-up goes to the amount of times he "gets more excited" or "gets hornier". I ran out of synonyms so quickly.

I've discussed in the last TL notes I wrote for a Studio Pork game, but my philosophy with this repetitive translation
is to try to vary the wording so things don't get stale. You could argue "same words = same translation", but the
mood and the setting are different enough to allow for an alternate translation depending on the context.
Thus, reading the English TL you probably won't see as much repetitiveness as the original script (maybe).
Whether that's a good thing or bad thing depends on your own philosophy towards translation, but I digress.

3. TL Changes
One of the biggest, and probably most controversial, changes I made was the way that Kiichi refers to Hina-chan.
In the original JP, he always calls her "Hina-neechan", which literally translated is "Big Sis Hina".
It's how he used to refer to her as a kid and is sort of a cute, constant reminder of their relationship.
Unfortunately for translation purposes, "Big Sis Hina" is kind of unwieldy to use whenever her name came up.
It should come as no shock to anyone that her name is used a lot throughout the VN, and to see that phrase
pop up all the time would muck-up the readability too much I believe. So I opted for him to refer to
her as Hina-chan for the entirety of the VN.

You may argue that detracts a lot from the TL, but the best I can do for you is this TL note.
(If anyone has an *easy* to implement alt TL that would preserve that nuance, let me know and maybe I'll update
the TL to reflect that. Believe me I don't like losing it, it's very cute.)

4. The Protagonist
For some of you coming from the last Studio Pork VN, you may notice that the protagonist this time is a lot
less snide and a lot more repetitive than Murase. That's because he is.

Kiichi loves to say how happy (嬉しい) he is about every little thing Hina-chan does and outside of the rare
snide comment he spends most of his time waxing on about how in love he is.
That's just how the author wrote him.
(I really dislike the whole "That wasn't even a compliment, I was being honest" shit he does, it sounds dumb
TLed and it sounds dumb in the original JP.)

Where I could take some liberties in the last game and draw out the implied (and explicit) snark from Murase's lines,
here Kiichi is very one-track minded and not all much else. Trying to make him more colorful would be overstepping
my bounds as a translator, so don't point at me if you think he's a little boring.

5. Conclusion
Overall I had a much easier experience translating this compared to the last game. The heavy amount of sex scenes
towards the end of the VN did bog me down for a bit, but I pushed passed it in the end. No bugs to fix either.

Personally I enjoyed the story of the last game more, but this one wasn't all that bad.
The author did mention how he wasn't as experienced writing a lovey-dovey type romance story, so in that regard
I think he did alright.

On that note, Studio Pork did put up on their blog that the next game will be more of a traditional NTR type story,
though with a main girl and a side girl this time. No release date, but if it's any good I might TL it.
